My client is an expanding SME company that specialises in the supply of high speed, reliable internet systems, to holiday and leisure parks throughout the UK. The company has an exciting opportunity for an Installation/Maintenance Engineer, based in Preston/Lancashire to join a friendly dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation & maintenance of their Direct to Van (DTV) equipment, ensuring continuous excellent service provision. You’ll do this by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and liaising with the clients & customers on site. It requires the employee to fully support the Network Manager and Customer Support Team.
Main Responsibilities
- Install & Maintain Direct to Van (DTV) equipment & infrastructure, always ensuring that the work is carried out to high standards
- Identify faults on –site and carry out repair works as necessary
- Provide a point of contact for customers’ and on-site staff requirements
- Management of stock and consumables
- Co-ordinate and communicate with your line manager on a regular basis
- Work to method statements and carry out risk assessments as required, always ensuring a safe method of work on-site
- Work with the Customer Support Team to capture information and ensure all equipment has been installed optimally

Essential Skills/Experience
- Must have a sound knowledge of installing and maintaining Wireless Networks
- Previous experience in a similar role however full training will be giving
- Excellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive & positive attitude to work
- Hold a full clean driving licence
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Experience with MikroTIK
- Ubiquiti Certified
- Experience of installing Fibre networks
Work location: Ideally Preston/Lancashire & Multiple Locations throughout the Northwest of England
